Located at a height of almost 1000 meters above sea level on the Sahyadri ranges in Western Ghats, lies one of the most important shrines of India known by the name of Sabarimala. When dusk falls, a small flame arises in a distance, between two hills just opposite the temple. The temple comes alive with the praises of the Lord filling the air.

The most auspicious day of the Sabarimala Pilgrimage is the Makara Vilakku Day somewhere around January 14th every year. Tour Itinerary :
Day 1: Pick up from Trivandrum Airport / Kollam Railway station in an air conditioned car. Check in at the hotel Day free to relax and beach visit in the evening. Pure Vegetarian dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2
6.00 am Pooja at Devi Temple close to the hotel. 7.30 am Pure Vegetarian Breakfast and proceed to Sabarimala in an air conditioned car. Route – Kollam , Kottarakara, Adoor, Pathanamthitta, Vadasserikara, Pampa, Sabarimala (120kms). Visit to famous temples on the way to sabarimala like Ganapathi Temple in Kottarakara, Omallur Temple, Malayala Puzha Devi Temple and Nilakkal Mahadeva Temple. Evening back to hotel from Sabarimala. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 - Morning Break Fast
Check out before 12 noon and proceed to Railway station/Airport or to the next Destination.

Kottarakkara Sree Maha Ganapati Temple

Kottarakkara Sree Mahaganapathy Kshethram is one of the old and famous pilgrim centre in South India. It is centuries old and a most important Maha Ganapathi Temple in Kerala. Non-hindu's are also permitted in the temple. This temple is the family of Lord Siva. This Ganapati temple is located at Kottarakkara which is 25 kms away from Kollam. The deities of this temple are Parama Shiva,Parvati Devi, Sree Maha Ganapati, Sree Murukan, Sree Ayyappan, and Nagaraja. Even though main deity is Parama Shiva, main priority is given to Sree Maha Ganapati. The main offerings of the temple are Unni Appam Udayasthamanapooja, Mahaganapathi homam and Pushpanjali.

Omallur Rektha Kanda Swamy Temple

Rektha Kanda Swamy Temple, Omallur traces its history to 8th century AD. It is a pilgrim centre on the way to Sabarimala from Pandalam, the birth place of Sree Ayyappan. The temple is famous for its annual festival of 10 days which falls in month of Medom of Malayalam Era. The 10 days festival is celebrated by 10 Karayogams (village communities) in and around Omallur. On the festival days there is a customary Arattu procession to the River Achenkovil. 10 elephants decorated with Nettipattom (a decorated cover on the forehead) will be speciality of this Arattu. The temple has an ageold Golden Flag Staff. Omallur is 4 km south from the district headquarters Pathanamthitta and 11 km from MC Road (Kottayam - Trivandrum route).

Malayalapuzha Devi Temple

Well known Malayalapuzha Devi Temple is situated, East of Pathanamthitta 6 kms via Kumbazha. It is a Hindu Temple, but each week one in four devotees seeking blessings at the Malayalapuzha Devi Temple is a Christian or a Muslim. A hundred thousand devotees worship at the temple weekly, with Tuesday and Friday the most popular days for darshan (viewing) of Goddess Bhadrakali, a form of the Goddess Parvati. She is popularly known as "Malayalapuzha Amma" (Mother of Malayalapuzha) for Malayalapuzha village and hill of the same name. The power of the Mother is such that those who reach her lap once, whoever they be, are not able to live without visiting the temple at least once in a month. 41 days Kalam Ezhuthum Pattum from Vrichigam 1 and Eleven days festival from Thiruvathira of Kumbhom is held here. The only one Temple in Kerala where the " Satha Kodi Archana" has performed and lakhs of devotees participated. The Bhagavathi temple where the benefactress goddess is consecrated is very renowned.

Nilakkal Mahadeva Temple

Nilakkal Mahadeva Temple is one of the sacred spots for Hindu pilgrims. Lord Shiva is the presiding deity here. A Devi temple is located nearby. Enroute to Sabarimala, this temple is sited at Nilakkal, which is 5 km from Plappally on the Pamba-Pathanamthitta Road. .
